ROHULLAH KARIMI

BACKGROUND

We had a family computer back in 2009 in Kabul, Afghanistan. My interest began in computers at a very young age as I grew up watching my father as an English teacher, spending long hours on the computer regarding his work. He used to allow me to use the computer for playing video games. As I grew older I began to find more interest in how computers were created and how they functioned. As my resources were restricted, I started to learn through Microsoft Office books and independently began learning more about the programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

In 2016, my family and I had to start a new life from scratch as we entered Finland from Afghanistan. I faced many challenges but I quickly adapted to the Finnish culture. I graduated from an immigrants school and from the Hyria educational center. Currently, I’m studying for Bachelors of Engineering at Häme University of Applied Sciences (estimated graduation time: 01/2022 ). I also attended Erasmus Program, Athlone IT, Ireland ( 08/2020 – 12/2020).

I have 3 years of professional experience where I worked with the WordPress platform as a full-stack Developer Creating websites like Tilikauha. fi, RavintolaBeluga.fi, and RohisTech.com. I am also efficient with website PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Python, HTML5, and CSS3. I also manage websites on the side such as Falcons.fi. I prefer using PHP PDO as I find it safer than MySQLi.

During my experience with Tilikauha, I worked as a part of a team and independently. I have had a chance to share my views openly and gained great communication, time management and leadership, and cost calculation skills.

As a Software developer, I strongly believe in a commitment to developing creative and innovative IT solutions that serve the people. I have the versatility of skills in the development of web-based online stores, one-page websites, food delivery, and accounting applications.

I provide Quality in my services that I have to offer where my work process involves careful planning and time scheduling for the features that the new project involves. I overcome any challenge by never saying no to it. Based on past work experiences and careful research, I come up with innovative solutions and advise my customers to select just the right features for their personal needs.

As I’m in education currently, I am available to work part-time (maximum 25h/week ). I am available to work full-time for summer 2021 and a full-time job after my graduation on 1/2022.
